The following are some of the art exhibits taking place in the Fairfax-Loudoun area: GRACE. Through Aug. 1; Tuesdays-Saturdays, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. The Greater Reston Arts Center, 12001 Market St., Suite 103, Reston. The Arts Council at GRACE hosts an art exhibit featuring works by 20 area artists. Admission is free. 703-471-9242 or www.restonarts.org.

Goldstein exhibit. Through Aug. 16. The Gallery at Oakton's Art and Framing, 2952-H Chain Bridge Road. An exhibit of 20 new pastels by Northern Virginia artist Lynn Goldstein. Includes new works from both her landscape and reaching series. 'Etched in Time.' Aug. 5-Sept. 1, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. daily. The Artists' Undertaking Gallery, 309 Mill St., historic Occoquan. An exhibit of etched and fused glass by David Barnes, of Sterling, and etchings by Roger Frey, of Woodbridge. 'Picturing Politics.' Aug. 15-Sept. 27, Tuesday-Saturday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Arlington Arts Center, 3550 Wilson Blvd., Arlington. "Picturing Politics 2008: Artists Speak to Power" features works from many individual artists as well as the Independence Fund's Veterans Arts Project and the National Vietnam Veterans Art Museum. The exhibit is curated by Rex Weil. An opening reception will be Friday, Sept. 5, 6-9 p.m. 703-248-6800.
