Still Reeling

The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor' (PG-13))

Starring: Brendan Fraser, Jet Li

Brendan Fraser is back into the Mummy series as he brings his son along on the latest adventure. The latest in a line of sequels this summer. Opens Friday.

'Swing Vote' (PG-13)

Starring: Kevin Costner

The only vote that counts in a crazy election has both candidates courting Kevin Costner's support. Timely with election season 2008 fast approaching, but will it play. Opens Friday.

'Step Brothers' (R)

Starring: Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly

Oh so funny, but oh so crude, Ferrell and Reilly work well together. This will have you laughing but feeling like you need a shower after it.

'The X-Files: I Want To Believe' (PG-13)

Starring: David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson

As a fan of the series, it didn't quite live up to my expectations. I wanted something else. But that creepy music still gets me excited every time.

'The Dark Knight' (PG-13)

Starring: Christian Bale, Heath Ledger

Heath Ledger is amazing, and this is the way a summer popcorn movie should be made. Worth every penny you pay for an admission ticket.

'Mamma Mia!' (PG-13)

Starring: Meryl Streep, Amanda Seyfried

Do you like the movie musical? This one might be for you! Many have been waiting for this show to become a film and now the wait is over. Opens Friday.

'Hellboy II: The Golden Army' (PG-13)

Starring: Ron Perlman, Selma Blair

Did you see the first film? You'll probably like this one too then as Hellboy must save the world from rebellious creatures.

'Meet Dave' (PG-13)

Starring: Eddie Murphy, Elisabeth Banks

Wasn't sure what to expect, but it wasn't awful, really, I'm serious, listen…it's not as bat as Norbit! But that's not saying a lot I guess.

'Journey To the Center of the Earth' (PG)

Starring: Brendan Fraser, Josh Hutcherson

Brendan Fraser is great in this 50s era throwback that never takes itself too seriously. See it in 3D If at all possible as that is where it performs better than ever.

'Hancock' (PG-13)

Starring: Will Smith, Jason Bateman

When PR veteran Ray (Bateman) gets a hold of superhero Hancock (Smith) it's time for an image makeover.

'Wall-E' (G)

Starring: voice of Ben Burtt, Fred Willard

Amazing animation from the folks at Pixar, but we have come to expect that from them. A true love story that will have kids and adults loving their time at the movies.

'Wanted' (R)

Starring: James McAvoy, Angelina Jolie

Sleek and stylish take on a man who goes from just living, to a fraternity of assassins. Bloody good action fun.

'Get Smart' (PG-13)

Starring: Steve Carell, Anne Hathaway

Maxwell Smart (Carell) gets a big screen look. This one "missed it by that much" with the laughs. Lots of chuckles, very few belly laughs.

'The Incredible Hulk' (PG-13)

Starring: Edward Norton, Liv Tyler

A Hulk Smash of a good time, this is an action film that while not deep, will leave you satisfied. This is lean, green and great onscreen.

'Sex and the City' (R)

Starring: Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall

As I virgin on this series, I didn’t totally get it, but the women in the theater with me loved another visit with these old friends.

'Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull' (PG-13)

Starring: Harrison Ford, Shia LaBeouf

Remember how you looked at movies when you saw the original three. If you do, this will be enjoyable. Love to see Harrison back in the saddle.

'Iron Man' (PG-13)

Starring: Robert Downey Jr., Terrence Howard

The perfect start to a summer at the movies, funny and action-packed this will get your blood pumping. Robert Downey Jr. is the perfect person to play Tony Stark.
