APEX qualify for Regionals

LEESBURG, VA—The APEX Boys Gymnastics Team competed in the 2008 State Meet in Virginia Beach, March 29-30. The team qualified to compete in regionals, April 12-13 and April 26-17 at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA.
The boys range in age from 6 to 14 and compete at levels 4-9 on six events: floor exercise, pommel horse, rings, vault, parallel bars, and high bar.
Notable scores include:
Level 4: Evan Kriley 2nd on parallel bars and 4th all-around. Scott Conrad 4th on floor. Logan Voegele 7th on pommel. Jackson Kempfer 7th on floor.
Level 5: Jay Thurn 5th on high bar. Nathan Clingman 12th on parallel bars. Montgomery Webb 14th on vault. Ian Sicking 15th on floor.
Level 6: Kyle Warner 2nd on vault and 3rd all-around. Isaak Sholly 5th on rings and 5th all-around. Chester DeWolfe 6th on high bar. Chris Chlandra 7th on high bar. Jacob Brantley 7th on rings.
Level 7: Matthew Rubright 2nd on pommel and 5th all around. Emerson Fennell 3rd on high bar. Michael Manzer 6th on floor. Alex Shamenko 3rd on floor. Hunter Voegele 12th on vault.
Level 9: Aaron Meland 1st on high bar and 3rd all around. Benjamin Cluss 6th on high bar. Nathan Cluss did not compete due to injury, but has qualified for regionals.
