Mary McDermott, 93, of Reston, formerly of Toms River, N.J., and Manhattan, N.Y., died May 25.

She was born May 8, 1915, in New York City to the late John and Loretta Byrne McCarthy. Her husband, John McDermott, preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, Michael McDermott; two daughters, Mary Hanrahan and Marian Kucab; a brother, John McCarthy; five grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

Arrangements were by Adams-Green Funeral Home of Herndon.
